Didier de Ménonville, KPMG, Paris
On 24 March ecoDa, in association with KPMG, organised the conference "Unlisted Companies as Drivers of Economic Growth - The role of Good Governance" at the European Parliament in Brussels.
The purpose of this event was the launching of ecoDa's publication on Corporate Governance Guidance and Principles for Unlisted Companies in Europe, which represents a pioneer initiative to provide practical tools to board directors in Europe Unlisted companies account for more than 75% of European GDP. They are key providers of current and future employment as well as the source of a large proportion of European economic growth. In the context of economic crisis, unlisted companies have to look for new drivers of change. EcoDa is convinced that Corporate Governance can act as an efficient tool in promoting the growth and sustainability of European companies.
The conference consisted of two Round Tables with the participation of relevant professionals of the field:
-
Governance for Unlisted Companies: the key to long term success
-
