| "There is no doubt that a positive assessment can be made of the development and implementation of good corporate governance practices, within Europe in general particularly in Spain, although due to the financial crisis additional work is required in certain aspects, such as the remuneration of Board Directors . Furthermore, it is of special relevance and has emerged as a new challenge, the corporate governance of SMEs, given their impact on the Spanish and European economies. The organisation of conferences such as the current one, is an excellent opportunity to reflect on all these issues and promote future improvements in this area."
Ms. Soledad Núñez Ramos.
