Mission statement
The modern business environment requires the company board to take responsibility for both management control and strategic decision-making.. The board has to demonstrate transparency in both external and internal operations, as well as leading the corporate government system. Through our members, ecoDa spans the whole spectrum of business leadership, from the largest public companies to the smallest private firms – both listed and unlisted.
ecoDa’s objective is to promote directors’ skills, professionalism and impact on society.
« ecoDa must be the place where all national directors’ institutes within the European Union feel they can really make a difference by influencing policies and informing European decision-makers of our proposals on corporate governance » Miles Templeman, Director of ecoDa.
By contributing to a professional framework for both current and future directors, ecoDa hopes to help them to develop and add value to their organisations, both in the commercial and non-commercial sectors.
ecoDa will propose solutions to the key corporate governance questions facing Europe today, including the challenge of helping directors to operate effectively across all the European Union Member States. ecoDa aims to be an active partner of the European Union and of its institutions – especially the European Parliament and European Commission.
ecoDa will build close links with all organisations relating to corporate governance at European and International levels alike:
