The European Confederation of Directors' Associations
(ecoDa) is a not-for-profit association founded in December 2004 under the laws of Belgium.
its objective is to represent the views of company directors from EU member states to corporate governance policy-makers at EU level
Some words from the founders
« ecoDa must be the place where all national institutes of directors within the European Union feel they can really make a difference. We have a great opportunity to influence policies and inform European decision-makers about our proposals on corporate governance» Miles Templeman, Chairman
«Professional associations have an increasingly important role to play in civil society. By their membership of these director's institutes our members constitute a real network of citizens committed to ensuring that business recognises its responsibilities », Pierre Klees, Former Chairman and Director of ecoDa.
« ecoDa will be a new partner representing directors within the European stakeholders' debate. Ecoda will give director the opportunity to play their full part on the EU's work on corporate governance. Working together with colleagues from different Member States will be the best way to ensure that the Director's voice is heard. ecoDa has an essential role to play », Daniel Lebègue, Former Chairman and Director of ecoDa.
